Tax on van driven by drug driver was over 500 days out of date - Gardaí

A van found to be without tax for 500 days has been seized by Gardaí. 

The Naas Roads Policing Unit stopped the van following an alert from the Mobility App, and the driver was also found to be uninsured. 

Additionally, the driver tested positive for cocaine and was subsequently arrested. 

Proceedings are to follow.
