'Car driving erratically' alerts gardaí to drink driver over four times the legal limit

The driver recorded a reading of 90 micrograms of alcohol per 100 ml of breath, which is over four times the legal limit

'Car driving erratically' alerts gardaí to drink driver over four times the legal limit

Gardaí have caught a motorist over four times over the legal limit after spotting the car "driving erratically".

Delvin Roads Policing Unit stopped a car in Meath for erratic driving on Friday night.

The driver failed a roadside breath test and was arrested.

When conveyed to the station, the driver recorded a reading of 90 micrograms of alcohol per 100 ml of breath, which is "over 4 times the legal limit" gardaí added.
