There will be deep disappointment for Leitrim cyclists with the news that the incredibly popular Tour De Breffni Charity cycle will not be taking place this year due to logistical difficulties.
Organised by the Leitrim Cycling Club, the event drew leisure cyclists from all over the country for an event that saw participants travel from Leitrim Village to Ballinamore on to Corlough and over the mountains to Dowra and back to Leitrim via Drumkeerin. Organisers hope that the event will return in 2019.
