Mohill Photography Club has just completed it’s latest photography project, “Generation”. The club, which in 2017 produced Mohill; Portrait of an Irish Town, once again, working in collaboration with photojournalist, Brian Farrell and supported by Creative Leitrim, set up a “pop up studio” to photograph local people.
Following a four week photography class with Brian Farrell the club invited members of the local community to have a free portrait taken of their family’s generations in the LAPWD. At 96 years of age, the eldest participant was James Boyle who led four generations of “James Boyles” into the studio.
Andy McGovern led four generations of his family to the studio and Mary Creamer followed suit with four generations of her own.
The youngest participant to take part was Grace Keane at only 5 weeks old. The club would like to extend their thanks to all the participants and the LAPWD for the use of their facilities and Creative Leitrim for their support.
