Sligo Gardai have released a map showing defibrillator locations in Sligo
Communities and businesses have been extraordinarily generous in providing defibrillators in your local area.
A map has now been created listing locations for emergency defibrillators in Sligo town. The work was inspired by Sligo Grammar School Leaving Cert student, James Lawlor Kerr, after he assisted with an emergency and with the help of Finbar Filan from Filan's Centra Castle Street they created this very worthwhile and possibly lifesaving map. The locations of each defibrillator has also been uploaded on Google Maps.
Sligo Gardai not there is also one in the public office of Sligo Garda Station on Pearse Road and there is also units in Gillooly Hall and Sligo Cathedral. Other businesses have come forward noting they have units available in the event of an emergency including:
- Cre8ive Corner Crèche Brooklawns, Sea Road, Sligo.
