Sligo Races two day annual fixture takes place on Wednesday & Thursday, August 7 & 8. The first race on Wednesday is at 5.40pm. It is a seven race all flat programme with the feature race being the Connacht Oaks Fillies Handicap of €25K sponsored by the Irish Stallion Farms European Breeders Fund.
Thursday, August 8, is also Ladies Day and features a seven race National Hunt card with the first race off at 5.35, the feature being The Guinness Sligo Handicap Hurdle of €20,000 run over 2 ½ miles.
This year Sligo Racecourse is delighted to welcome again Littlewoods Ireland as sponsor of the Best Dressed Lady competition. The fabulous first prize on offer is a €1,500 shopping spree with Littlewoods Ireland and nine finalists will receive a €100 Littlewoods Ireland shopping spree.
