Coach Helen Kennedy, Conor Lanigan, Cormac, Eoghan and Fiona Rynn pictured after Cormac's silver medal presentation
Wow, what a five days Team Trident had at the Irish Open at the NAC as Cormac Rynn won a silver medal in the Junior 200m Individual medley.
The event saw seven new Irish Senior records and five Irish Junior records, one of which was set by Jack Cassin from the National Centre Limerick in Cormac Rynn’s medal winning race.
All four Trident swimmers - Grace Quinn, Cormac Rynn, Conor Lanigan and Eoghan Rynn - swam personal best as Trident was represented in the finals each evening.
All the hard work and dedication you put into training showed up in your races, well done everyone.
We also saw some great swimming from Irish Olympians Mona McSharry, who broke two Irish Senior records and Ellen Walsh who broke her own 100m Butterfly record in the heats and then again in the Finals.
We had Alicia and Miya (inset) taking part in the Skills academy interpros on Saturday.
Thanks to Fiona and Julie who took on team manager and official duties.
Many thanks to Swim Ireland for a great festival of swimming, we got to witness Irish records being broken and qualification standards met for World and European events by both our Olympians and the rising young stars. Well done everyone.
A big shout out to Andrew Bree who added immensely to the atmosphere. Thanks to all the officials for all their dedication.
