Become a part of history at the new Mohill Park Sport & Leisure Clubhouse

Mohill GAA and Mohill Park Sport and Leisure (MPSL) launch their exciting new Sponsorship Wall and Supporters Wall at Pairc Philib Mhic Aonghusa. 

Businesses from the area or that have any connection with Mohill or the South Leitrim area can choose Gold, Silver or Bronze options to have their names displayed proudly on the new Clubhouse Wall.

Supporters and players past and present or future, can also proudly display their name on the virtual jerseys that will be displayed on polycarbonate signs at the entrance of the clubhouse.

Mohill GAA are justly proud of their new modern Clubrooms at Pairc Philib Mhic Aonghusa. This magnificent building is a credit to all the club members who saw the need to modernise our outdated structures and provide facilities for every aspect of the Club activities. 

To see that dream become a reality, fundraising commenced in 2016 with a very successful ‘Mohill does Strictly’ and a special committee, Mohill Park Sport and Leisure was set up to apply for funding.

In 2021 they successfully secured Leader funding of €300,000. The building was completed without delay by local builder Padraic Bohan and now stands proudly with all modern facilities in Pairc Philib. 

As the Leader Programme grant only covered a percentage of the costs MPSL & Mohill GAA have been fundraising since and with a wonderful group of voluntary club members they raised over €100,000 in a time of severe restrictions during the Covid epidemic. There is still a shortfall and businesses and families are now getting behind this new effort to clear the overdraft.

Many businesses and  families have already subscribed to the sponsorship wall and the Supporters Wall plaques. For €100 families can have their names, their children's names or even those of departed relatives displayed on  Supporters Wall at the entrance to the building for all to see.

Businesses & institutions can choose various options to have their companies and associations on the front wall of the Clubhouse. Gold Sponsorship will cost €1000, Silver €500 and Bronze €250, and will be on display on the outside wall of the clubhouse for at least 10 years. A limited number of Platinum Sponsorship plaques is available for €2000 which will be displayed on the gable end of the building facing the town.

The closing date for getting your name on the wall and becoming part of history is Friday July 28  The unveiling of the Wall will take place at the official opening of the new Clubhouse on August 26.
