Met Éireann has extended a Status Yellow rain warning for Leitrim until 9pm tonight, Thursday, June 12.
The alert also applies to counties Roscommon, Sligo, Donegal, Cavan, and Monaghan.
The warning is in effect from 11am this morning until 9pm, with the national forecaster cautioning that possible impacts of the weather could lead to localised flooding, reduced visibility, and hazardous travel conditions.
While a thunderstorm warning was issued yesterday, it has since been downgraded and replaced by the current rain warning.
