Cold night expected in Leitrim as heavy rain and showers move in

As cloud thickens and rain intensifies this evening, temperatures will continue to fall, leading to a cold, wet, and potentially stormy night throughout Leitrim.

Sunny spells and scattered showers are expected to take place today, December 3, in Leitrim

Cloud will gradually build from the southwest, with outbreaks of rain developing in the afternoon, turning to heavy rain later tonight.

Highest temperatures today will range from five to eight degrees with light to moderate southwesterly winds.

Tonight will turn cold and rainy, with showers beginning in the evening and becoming heavy later in the night as temperatures gradually drop.

The rain will clear northeastwards, followed by clear spells and showers, some heavy, with a chance of hail and isolated thunderstorms. 

Lowest temperatures will range from zero to four degrees.

Tomorrow morning will start off very cold at zero degrees, gradually warming as the morning progresses. 

There will be sunny spells and light sleet showers alongside light rain showers, with the light rain continuing into the afternoon before giving way to cloudy conditions in the evening. Highest temperatures will range from zero to eight degrees.
