Dry bright day expected across Leitrim, with temperatures due to drop tomorrow

Today in Leitrim, despite some partial cloud cover, it will be a bright and largely dry day across the county.

High temperatures of around 8 degrees are expected, falling to lows of minus 1 tonight, with dry conditions continuing into the night.

Tomorrow, a similarly bright day is expected across Leitrim, though it will be noticeably colder with highs of six degrees and lows of one degree.

Across Connacht today, any mist and fog will clear, giving way to a mostly dry day with bright or even sunny spells. A few isolated showers may affect coastal areas. Highest afternoon temperatures will range from 6 to 10 degrees, with mostly light south-westerly or variable breezes.

It will be a chilly night, largely dry with long clear spells. A few isolated coastal showers are possible. A touch of frost may develop, with lowest temperatures of 0 to 4 degrees. Some mist and fog patches may also form, with light southerly or variable breezes.

Nationally, it will be generally dry with a mix of cloudy periods and sunny spells, the best of which will be over the western half of the country. A few isolated showers may affect Atlantic coastal areas at times. Highs of 7 to 10 degrees, with light westerly breezes, a little fresher in the west.
