Future of Leitrim Guardian to be discussed at AGM

The 50th edition of the Leitrim Guardian.

The Leitrim Guardian will hold its AGM on July 4 at  9pm at Berry's Tavern in Drumshanbo. All are welcome.
This meeting will consider the future of the Leitrim Guardian. New members of the committee are urgently required In order to secure the future of this journal, which has been published for over 50 years. It is a unique publication, Ireland's only County Magazine and is produced by a voluntary committee. Held within the pages of each edition is a sense of the wealth of the diverse talent, entrepreneurship, and honest to goodness neighbourliness, that exists within the county.
You will find stories, musings, photographs and poems, from professionals and amateurs alike, depicting our rich and colourful history, and mirroring the sorrows and joys felt during past and present times.
The Leitrim Guardian presents the results of our community which consists of a great mixture of long settled, and newly arrived people, who carry the flag of Leitrim forward to the future with great pride.
Would you like to be part of this piece of history? If so, please attend the AGM and find out what you can do. Every little contribution helps.
Perhaps you are good at marketing, or can help with distribution? Maybe you would like to help with proofreading? It could be that you know people who have good stories to tell and you can encourage them to write a piece for the forthcoming edition?
The more hands we have on deck, the easier the job is for everyone. We welcome all to attend the AGM who would like to add their voice of support to the future of this historic publication.
Find out what you can do to help!
The bumper 50th anniversary edition is still on sale and would make a lovely gift for visitors to our county.
Should you require any information about the AGM please call the secretary Fr John Sexton at 0879438423.
