Trident Swim Club were on fire over the weekend at the Connacht Short Course Regional Championship. We had a squad of 11 swimmers, our youngest swimmer being Emily Quinn, in Castlebar for a great weekend of racing. Unfortunately Molly, Miya and Alicia had to cry off due to illness.

Friday evening saw three swimmers Conor Lanigan, Clara Doherty and Grace Quinn all competing in the 400m Individual Medley. Conor was crowned Connacht Champion, taking 1st place with a great PB, Clara took silver medal with a PB also.

The mixed freestyle relay got Saturday racing underway, Trident took the silver medal with strong swims from Grace, Ella McKeon, Conor and Eoghan Rynn. Clara was crowned Connacht Champion for the 400m Freestyle , in the same race Phoebe swam a new PB to finish 4th. At the end of the morning session we had lots of Trident swimmers progressing to the Finals that evening.placeholder image
