Leitrim's Leonie Cornelius has been announced as a gold medal winner for her garden design at Bloom 25.
She told Leitrim Live she was delighted to win the award, and despite the slightly showery weather in the Phoenix Park in Dublin, she said there was a lively atmosphere on the first day of Bord Bia Bloom 25.
Nourish – The Caragh Nurseries Garden, designed by Leonie Cornelius and sponsored by Caragh Nurseries, was confirmed as one of the gold medal winners on Thursday morning.
Throughout the day she spoke with many visitors flocking to admire her garden design and get some insider tips from her.
"We got our news this morning that we won gold, so I am so delighted," she told Leitrim Live.
"We have had a lot of people here already," she said. Despite the mixed weather she said "there is such a great atmosphere".
