The concerts will come 16 years after the band split acrimoniously when Noel Gallagher quit before a show at a French festival
Let's be honest, these Oasis reunion gigs in Croke Park might not even happen!
Tickets for August 16 and 17 in Croke Park next year went on sale at 8am via Ticketmaster on Saturday morning and while thousands of fans encountered technical issues, the gigs are now virtually sold-out.
General tickets went on sale for the band's comeback tour at 9am on Saturday for those in the UK and 8am for fans in Ireland.
Fans vented their frustration at Ticketmaster after being kicked out of the queue or being told they were deemed to be bots, which prevented them from purchasing tickets to see Noel and Liam Gallagher perform together once again on the same stage.
But maybe fans have nothing to be worrying about...I mean what are the chances of these two making it to Ireland still talking?
Noel and Liam Gallagher haven't had the best of relationships over the decades. They have fallen out countless times.
The band announced earlier this week that they would be reuniting for the first time since breaking up in 2009.
They will now go on a 17-gig run in the UK and Ireland.
And where does Croke Park come on that leg of gigs...
Paddy Last!
The dates are:
4, 5 July - Cardiff, Principality Stadium.
11, 12, 16, 19, 20 July - Manchester, Heaton Park.
25, 26, 30 July and 2, 3 August - London, Wembley Stadium.
8, 9, 12 August - Edinburgh, Murrayfield Stadium.
16, 17 August - Dublin, Croke Park.
The concerts will come 16 years after the band split acrimoniously when Noel Gallagher quit before a show at a French festival. Before a show...
By the time August comes around, the renuion tour might have soured let's be honest and the brothers might not even be talking by time they get to Croke Park!
Sure these boys could arrive to Dublin all good and not even come out on stage because of a bust-up back stage...
As I said, there are a lot of gigs before the Croker dates in Dublin. Will the brothers make it to Dublin or will the whole show have collapsed by then with one too many guitars being swung near Noel's face?
Now, I'm not bitter because I didn't get tickets to the Croker concerts or that I was the 450,000th person in the queue on Saturday morning before the whole thing crashed on me.
But in the event that the concerts don't happen, give me your tickets in the meantime and I'll mind them and you can have them back next August if the lads show up, deal?
And don't forget the uproar locally that could raise it's head. What's that famous line, the small print for all these gigs, "subject to licensing"...
But residents are furious, not because of the two nights of concerts, but for another bizarre reason...
A number of residents around Croke Park were also left disappointed during the ticket sale on Saturday.
Why? Sure, much like the rest of the country, they couldn't get tickets either!
A set number of tickets was set aside for people living close to the landmark stadium in north Dublin, with householders asked to submit a form asking for a code to purchase them.
However, the number of applications exceeded demand, with those residents who were unsuccessful being informed by email on Saturday.
If organisers of these multi-night shows should have learned anything, it's don't piss off the locals lads!
Now come on, add a third (and fourth) night and give us all another chance!
