Details have been announced for the Ballinamore Camino 2025.
Organised by the Ballinamore Camino Group and Ballinamore Community Hall, the event is scheduled for Saturday, July 12.
The camino will feature 35km and 20km loops, taking approximately six to nine hours to complete.
Participants will start and finish at the Island Theatre on Main Street, where a hot meal will be provided upon completion.
The camino route will traverse road, existing trails and tracks through uplands and forestry, reaching a peak elevation of 420 metres.
Along the way, participants can enjoy breathtaking views of Leitrim, as well as stunning views of West Cavan, Longford, Tyrone and Fermanagh.
Highlights include notable landmarks such as the Shannon-Erne Waterway, Sliabh an Iarainn, Pol an Eas Waterfall and the Bencroy viewing point.
All proceeds raised from the event will go toward supporting Ballinamore Community Hall/The Island Theatre.
