Repaint STOP line marking at Coraleehan cross - Kenny

The council will arrange for the STOP line markings to be refreshed at the cross when line markers are in the area. 

Cllr Roisin Kenny asked for an update on the L1344-0 in Coraleehan can be expected to be completed, and also if the council could repaint the 'STOP' on the road at Coraleehan cross as it has faded. 

She was speaking at the latest Ballinamore municipal district meeting in Leitrim

She was told that the road is on the RIG (Restoration Improvement Grant) programme for 2026 and the council will arrange for the STOP line markings to be refreshed at the cross when line markers are in the area. 

Cllr Kenny then asked that the patching unit go to the location "to carry out any repairs that can be done in the meantime."

Cllr Gary Prior noted that a number of roads have been re-tarred in the Ballinamore municipal area and asked if the STOP line markings will be replaced on them. 

"Whatever was there will be reinstated," Emma Donohoe, district engineer, promised Cllr Prior. 

Cllr Paddy O'Rourke said that the footpath from the GAA grounds, Carrigallen to the housing estate. "We had a broken yellow line put along side footpath because people are having difficulty identifying the curb and struck it on a few occasions."

He noted that the area was tarmacked early this year but the yellow line was not replaced. 

Ms Donohoe said that this work would be carried out.
