Earlier this week, a warning was also issued to Leitrim residents, urging them to remain vigilant regarding a scam circulating in residential areas, with fraudsters posing as Uisce Éireann.
The scam, in the form of letters, has been delivered to people’s homes falsely claiming to be from Uisce Éireann and stating that they had called to inspect a leak at the property.
Members of the public are advised not to return any calls or scan the QR code on the letter, as this is part of the scam.
