High Street, Ballinamore
Conditional planning permission has been approved for the development of a pharmacy and residential apartments in Ballinamore.
The planning application was lodged on December 17 by Bryan Cribbin seeking permission to carry out works to a building situated on High Street.
The proposal involves the partial demolition of the southwest rear section of the existing building, together with a change of use on the ground floor from a mixed office/retail and residential use to a pharmacy, while retaining residential accommodation on the upper floors.
Under the plans, the pharmacy would have a floor area of 233 square metres. The application also seeks permission for the construction of a small residential extension measuring approximately 9.1 square metres to the rear of the building at first-floor level, as well as the provision of new residential units.

The residential element of the development comprises one one-bedroom apartment at first-floor level, one one-bedroom apartment at second-floor level, and one two-bedroom duplex apartment arranged over both the first and second floors.
In addition, the application includes proposed internal layout alterations to accommodate the new uses, alterations to the front elevation of the building, including the installation of a new shopfront, and the undertaking of associated external works.
These external works include the provision of car parking spaces, bicycle parking facilities, and a service area to the rear of the site, along with all associated site development works.
Planning permission was granted by Leitrim County Council on February 17, subject to 17 conditions.
