Attyrory area "satisfactorily serviced by footpaths", Stenson told

Cllr Enda Stenson asked if any progress has been made in obtaining funds to link all housing developments in the Attirory area with footpaths, so as to ensure and encourage safe walking routes. 
He was speaking at the latest Carrick-on-Shannon municipal district meeting. 

A report by the Economic Development section in Leitrim County Council said that the "overwhelming majority of the housing developments in the Attirory area are satisfactorily serviced by footpaths ensuring safe walking routes".


The response continued that an application for funding under the Active Travel 2024 Programme will be sought to construct a section of footpath between the Glas na hAbhainn estate and the Marina road crossroads as it is currently an outlier and not served by a footpath.
