The family travelled from Ukraine to Leitrim and will act as Grand Marshall at this year's parade
The annual parade returns to Carrick-on-Shannon this year after a two-year absence.
The event was cancelled in 2020 and 2021 due to the Pandemic.
This year Diane her mum Olga sister Bezhena and their children Eva and David who traveled from Kyiv in Ukraine to Leitrim recently have agreed to join the parade as Grand Marshal.
We are delighted to invite all businesses, community groups, schools, sporting organisations and local groups to join the St. Patrick's Day parade, which is taking place on Thursday, March 17 at 1pm.
This is a parade with community at the heart of it - keep it colourful, amusing, topical or historical.
Carrick Chamber of Commerce is appealing to all shops, pubs and hotels along the parade route to decorate their premises for the festivities.
Please inform Carrick Chamber Office by email of your intention to enter a float or take part in the parade and send a short description of your business/community group/school/sports organisation/local group to info@carrickonshannon.ie.
Any queries call Helen or Aneta at Carrick Chamber Office 071 9622245 – Monday to Friday.
