Tributes pour in following sad and unexpected passing of 'lovely young lad' from Leitrim

James Edward O'Connor passed away on Tuesday

Tributes have poured in following the sad and untimely passing of young man James Edward O'Connor from Aughnagallop, Drumshanbo, Leitrim.
James passed away suddenly at home on Tuesday, May 7, 2024 and is predeceased by his Aunt Martina O'Brien (née O'Connor), grandparents Sonny and Julianna O'Connor and Isey Mulvin.

Much loved darling son of John and Liz (Née Mulvin), loved and adored by his sister Emily, James will be very sadly missed by his devastated father, mother, sister, grandad Stan, aunts, uncles, and cousins, his many friends, relatives and good neighbours. 

Heartfelt condolences have been left on RIP.ie from those who knew and remembered James and his family, with one mourner writing,

"Deepest sympathy to John, Liz,Emily and extended O Connor family on the very sad passing of James. May God give you the strength to bear your heavy cross. Rest in peace James."

Another wrote,

"Very sad to hear of sad passing of .James .He was a lovely easy going young lad .May ,James rest in peace."

While another wrote,

"Sincere condolences to John, Liz and Emily on the devastating loss of James. I taught James in Scoil Bhride and remember him as a kind and gentle boy and when he smiled his whole face would light up. May he rest in peace."

Funeral Arrangements

James will repose at his home on today from 3pm to 8pm - all welcome.

Funeral Mass on Friday, May 10, in St Patrick's Church, Drumshanbo at 12 noon, followed by interment in the New Cemetery.

Funeral Mass will be streamed live on https://www.churchtv.ie/drumshanbo/ and on Drumshanbo Parish Facebook Page.
