Condolences are being shared following the peaceful passing of Kathleen McWeeney (née Lavin) on December 2.
Described as a ‘lovely lady,’ Kathleen, from Derrywillow, Aughamore, passed away at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Kathleen is predeceased by her son James and her brother Mel. She is deeply regretted and forever missed by her husband Pat, sons Thomas and Patrick, brothers Seamus and Joe, daughters-in-law Caroline and Annette, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and friends.
Tributes are being shared on RIP.ie following her passing. “She was a kind, loving and caring gentle lady all her life. May she rest in peace,” one condolence read.

Kathleen will repose at St Mary’s Church, Annaduff, today, December 3, from 5pm to 7pm. Her funeral Mass will take place on Thursday, December 4, at 12pm, followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.
The family requests family flowers only, with donations if desired in lieu to The North West Hospice Sligo.
“Sincere sympathy to Pat, Tommy, Patrick, Seamus, Joe, and the extended McWeeney and Lavin families on the very sad passing of Kathleen great memories of her growing up such a great neighbour. May she rest in peace now with James,” another condolence stated.
“Kathleen was always gentle, kind and a pleasure to talk to. May her soul rest in peace,” said another.
