Free VR showcase of Leitrim history to take place this week
The free event will take place on the 18th of September at 6 pm
VR showcase of European history among the free Culture Night events taking place in Manorhamilton, and for which no booking is required, will be one entitled “Heritage in Motion – From Leitrim to Europe”, taking place on Friday night, September 18, from 6 pm to 9 pm.
Friday night’s St. Clare’s Hall event organisers say that during it you can “step into history, and into Europe – this Culture Night, as Future Cast presents Heritage in Motion – From Leitrim to Europe; an evening blending community heritage with cutting-edge technology, inside the newly restored St. Clare's Hall.
“The programme will include: immersive VR stations – explore St Clare's Hall's future and Europe's presence in it; a heritage montage and live narration from a local historian, Margaret Connolly at 7.30 pm; hands-on stations blending traditional skills with digital tools; and relaxed chats with wine and refreshments and a bit of craic.
“Everyone is welcome! Bring your curiosity and your own story to share. No booking required, just drop in.”
