Yet another fixture clash as Leitrim's Antrim Tailteann Cup game fixed for exact same time as Ladies TG4 Connacht Intermediate Final

Leitrim fans will have yet another fixture headache on Sunday May 14, after it was revealed that Leitrim's first round Tailteann Cup clash against Antrim will clash directly with Leitrim Ladies' defence of their TG4 Connacht LGFA Intermediate Championship crown.

Andy Moran will take his Leitrim team to Corrigan Park in Belfast on Sunday May 14, for a 1pm game with Antrim in the first round of the new group stages in the Tailteann Cup while Jonny Garrity's Ladies team will be looking to make it three Provincial intermediate titles in a row when they take on Roscommon at St Brigid's club in Kiltoom at exactly the same time.

The Ladies Final has been fixed for months now with the decision to fix the Men's Tailteann Cup game only coming today (Friday May 5) after the draw for the group stages was made last Tuesday afternoon.

It is not the first time that there has been a clash of important fixtures this year between the Men's and Ladies games with just three Tailteann  Cup games fixed for Saturday May 13, with Cavan hosting Laois in a game that will be televised on GAAGO from Kingspan Breffni Park at 4.45 pm while Meath host Tipperary in Navan at 6.30pm and Longford travel to Limerick for a 4.45pm on the same day.

On Sunday, Offaly will host London in Glenisk O'Connor Park in Tullamore at 2pm, Wicklow will entertain Carlow at Echelon Aughrim Park at 4pm while the other game in group 4 will see Fermanagh host Wexford in Brewster Park at 1pm.

There has been no decision yet on the Group 2 game between Down and Waterford which is fixed for Newry's Park Esler.
