Three Leitrim officials have been named on GAA committees by new President Jarlath Burns after last weekend's GAA Congress in Newry with Kilmore and Roscommon official Brian Carroll taking over as the chairperson of the Central competitions Control Committee.

Burns succeeded New York's Larry McCarthy as President at Congress last weekend and he has named Leitrim's Declan Bohan, Enda Tiernan and Fergal McGill to three committees with immediate effect with other committees set to be appointed in March.

Current Leitrim GAA County Board Secretary Declan Bohan will serve on the Central Hearings Committee under the chairmanship of Westmeath's Matt Shaw while Cloone's Enda Tiernan will serve on the Central Appeals Committee. Bornacoola's Feargal McGill, Director of Club, Player and Games Administration at Croke Park, has also been appointed to the Central Competitions Control Committee.

The CCCC will be headed up by Kilmore's Brian Carroll, who is also the chairman of the Roscommon County Board and that committtee also has several other Leitrim links with Leitrim native Michael Reynolds representing Leinster on the committee along with Cavan's former Ulster GAA President Oliver Galligan, a brother of Carrick-on-Shannon's Kathleen Crowe and former employee of Leitrim County Council, also on the committee.
