Leitrim manager has handed out four championship debuts for next Sunday’s Connacht Senior Football Championship clash with Sligo in Markievicz Park (3 pm throw-in) but none of the players who were involved in Wednesday’s Connacht U20 game against Mayo are due to start against the Yeatsmen.
Fenagh St Caillins duo Eoin and Fergal McLoughlin and St Mary’s Kiltoghert duo Killian Gaffey and Gavin Reynolds all make their first Championship starts for the Green & Gold in Markievicz Park with Ryan O’Rourke set to captain the team once more from full-forward.
Eanna McNamara, Paul Honeyman & Ruairi O’Rourke, who all played against Mayo in the Dalata Hotels Connacht U20 FC clash on Wednesday, are named among the subs while Colm McLoughlin, who also played against Mayo, is named in the list of four stand-by players who could be called into the squad if there is a late injury.
Both St Mary’s and Fenagh have four players named in the starting line-up with three from Mohill and one each from Melvin Gaels, Annaduff, Glencar Manorhamilton and Ballinamore Sean O’Heslins.
