The Trip to Tipp definitely conjurs up images of the early 90s but Leitrim supporters being called for their own Trip to Tipp next Sunday with the Leitrim Supporters Club hoping to put on a bus for the Allianz NFL Division 4 game in FBD Semple Stadium.
Tipperary, 2020 Munster Champions, fought out a draw with Waterford last Sunday while Leitrim went down to a four point defeat at the hands of Cavan but a win in the famed Home of Hurling next Sunday would get Andy Moran's team right back in the mix for promotion.
To harness the wonderful support that was evident in Avant Money Pairc Sean Mac Diarmada against Cavan, Leitrim GAA Supporters Club are organising a bus to next Sunday's game but are looking for supporters to book their places on the bus as quickly as possible.
In their notes, they say "Leitrim GAA Supporters Club will charter a bus to Semple Stadium, Thurles for next Sunday’s Allianz league division four match with Tipperary if there are sufficient numbers interested. Anybody who wishes to book a seat on the bus should contact Jerome McWeeney asap at 0876370051. Bookings need to be confirmed by Thursday evening latest."
