No injuries reported from multi-vehicle crash on N4

A lot of motorists were caught up in traffic yesterday, January 2 following a multi-vehicle accident on the N4 near Jamestown.

Gardai were called to the accident scene which included one lorry and five cars at 9am yesterday and the road was closed until lunchtime  to clear the scene and gather evidence.

Gardai told the Leitrim Observer, "A lorry skidded on icy road conditions and collided with a number of vehicles. Material damage was caused to the vehicles. No injuries were reported. The road has since reopened. Enquiries are ongoing."
