Dull and misty weather expected today (January 22) with patchy rain or drizzle clearing from the west in the afternoon, lingering in the southeast.
That's according to Met Éireann, which also forecasts highest temperatures of 7 to 11 degrees with moderate southerly winds, gradually easing light.
Tonight, most places will be dry with patchy light rain lingering in the southeast with clear spells elsewhere.
Lowest temperatures of 1 to 3 degrees for much of the country, no lower than 7 or 8 degrees in the southeast where rain lingers.
Winds will be light southerly or variable, allowing fog to thicken and possibly become widespread.
