More funding has been received to upgrade roads in the county, assistant engineer, Alison McKeon, revealed at the latest Ballinamore Municipal District meeting where she asked members for approval of additional Restoration Improvement Grants (RIGs) funding.
"We are looking to propose to extend RIG no.13 from Greagh Cross that was previously recycled and is now starting to fail," she explained.
She said the Council is also looking to take on two roads from the 2024 programme – a section on the L8299 and a section on the L5369.
