Carrick Town donate €10,000 to kickstart SRC Fundraising Campaign

Fergal Donlon of Carrick Town FC presents Clement Gaffney and Brendan Lowe of The SRC (Shannonside Recreational Campus) with a donation of €10,000 on behalf of the soccer club's members to kickstart the SRC's fundraising campaign.
 
Phase one of the development of the campus is planned to include a fully fenced and floodlit 3G pitch at a site on the Castlecara Road in Carrick-on-Shannon.

This all weather pitch will accommodate soccer, Gaelic games and rugby and is hoped to be completed by the end of 2024.

Future phases will include the addition of a 400m 8 lane tartan track and grass pitch, a sports pavilion including basketball courts, dressing rooms and finally car parks and spectator facilities.

As Brendan outlined at the project's launch night in June, a founding principle is that the campus will be open to all sports, clubs and groups and aims to serve the sporting needs of the upper Shannon Region.
