Leitrim Guardian 2024 launch in Glenfarne

The 2024 Leitrim Guardian will be launched in the Rainbow Ballroom of Romance Glenfarne on Sunday, November 26.  Assembly at 1.30pm, four course Buffet Lunch at 2pm followed by traditional music entertainment.

The Presentation of the Leitrim Guardian Person of the Year to the 2024 recipients Michael and Breege Mulvihill will take place at the launch.

The 2023 Leitrim Guardian Person of the Year Edwina Guckian will be the Guest of Honour at the Launch on Sunday 26th.

The Presentation of the Literary Awards will also take place.

The Primary School winner is 10 year old Sadie Lancashire from Killargue, The Post Primary winner is Francis Òg McTiernan from Mohill Community College.

The M J McManus Award has been awarded to Gerry Bohan from Mohill for his story ‘Behind the Wall.’

It's a story from his newly published book The Clainings Tree which is an interesting collection of stories all set in the Leitrim landscape.

The Leonard Perpetual Award has been awarded to Dominic Rooney for his extensive piece of research on the Historic Bridges of Manorhamilton and its environs.

Congratulations to the winners who will receive their Awards from Gabriel and Laura Cronin, Cronin's Dental Laboratory. Drumshanbo.
