The Dock invites you to join them as they present the powerful award-winning documentary ‘Gaza’ at 2pm on Saturday, December 09.
All the proceeds from this screening will go to UNICEF’s Gaza Crisis Emergency Appeal.
Throughout its entire history, the Gaza Strip has been witness to conflict and upheaval. From ancient times, this tiny coastal territory, located at a crossroads between continents, has been a pawn whose fate rested in the hands of powerful neighbours.
‘Gaza’ won the Best Documentary Dublin Film Critics Award at the Dublin International Film Festival 2019.
Its directors, Andrew McConnell and Garry Keane, are from Fermanagh and Donegal.
Gaza is cinematic in intent and delivery, with breathtaking cinematography, orchestral score and masterful editing. In adding human texture and narrative heft to a story that appears only as a conflict zone in news media, the filmmakers have illuminated their viewers and greatly ennobled their subjects.
Tickets cost €5 and are available at www.thedock.ie or directly through the box office at 071 96 50 828.
