O'Rourke calls for roads to be resurfaced

"It's over twenty years since any significant works were carried out there and the surface is seriously deteriorating. While residents are grateful for the patching recently carried out, a more long term plan is urgently required," said Cllr Paddy O'Rourke at the latest Ballinamore municipal district where he asked about the plan to resurface road no. LS 53260 in Greaghrevagh and also road no. LT 56002 in the townland of Drumkievey. 

He was told the first road mentioned was surfaced in 2009 and it is currently not in the council's three year programme for road restoration. The second road at Drumconny was surfaced in 2006 and this public road is also not on the three year plan. 

 
District engineer, Darragh O'Boyle said the long-term plan is to get both roads on the programme.
