Trees to be removed at entry to Lake View Estate

Cllr Paddy O'Rourke asked the Ballinamore municipal district to make the necessary arrangements to remove the two rows of trees on the entry roadway to the Lake View Estate at Cloone Village.
He said, "These trees are non native and upon reaching maturing, have become a nuisance preventing sunlight from reaching many people's gardens and the western gable of the community centre along with being a source of green slime following rainfall which contributes to an unsightly and slippery surface both on the footpaths and the roadway."

He was told that the council is awaiting tender returns from competent tree surgeons to carry out this work and reduce and remove the Leylandii trees on local authority owned property and it is envisaged that these works will be done in January 2024.
