Leitrim For All invites residents to support asylum seekers over the Christmas holiday

Leitrim For All calls for support of asylum seekers and refugees to Dromahair and across County Leitrim.

The coalition of individuals and organisations recognises the challenges these individuals face, especially during Christmas.

According to the Leitrim For All, this is an opportunity for the Dromahair community to come together and warmly embrace the new arrivals.

"It is crucial to acknowledge the hardships faced by asylum seekers and work collaboratively to ensure their integration into the fabric of the town," the Leitrim For All spokesperson said.

"Leitrim For All recognises and appreciates the efforts of the on-the-ground group' Dromahair Welcomes You' and will be doing their utmost to provide support and assistance to the new arrivals," the spokesperson added.

The group urges the community to engage in initiatives that promote understanding and cooperation, fostering connections that will transform newcomers from strangers to valued members of the town.
