Christmas Crafts in Mohill Community College.

Christmas Message
Dear parents, guardians and members of the Mohill Community College school-community, I would like to take this opportunity to wish each and every one of you a happy Christmas and a wonderful new year.
I would also like to thank you all for the incredibly warm welcome you have afforded me since I arrived in Mohill Community College. It is a brilliant school, full of  fantastic students, top class teachers, SNAs, ancillary staff, with a very proactive and supportive Board of Management. We are luck to have such a school of this calibre in our locality which is testament to the work which has been going on for years.
Have a great Christmas everyone. Stay safe.
Cormac Flynn, Principal of Mohill Community College

Enterprise
Our Fifth Year LCVP students have been very enterprising this week. They were organising the school bank, setting up students with their own bank account. They also organised a treat for first and second years of a Christmas movie on the last two days of school. Students enjoyed a showing of Grinch, getting into the festive mood! They also organised a Christmas jumper day on the last day of school.

Attendance Awards
Congratulations to all students who achieved full attendance points for the month and certificates for full attendance for the term. Well done to all, it is no small thing to be fit and healthy to attend school every day. Well done on this achievement.

Christmas Creativity
Ms McCorry was getting festive in the Home Economics department this week. Her students engaged in some Christmas baking and sewing this week. Wonderful creativity on display as well as tasty treats!

Choir Service
We finished the term with a beautiful carol service in the church. Our singers and musicians and readers have been practicing for the last number of weeks in preparation for the service. Thanks to the religion department, Ms Farrell and Ms Hanly, for organising this treat.

ASD Class
Our ASD class have been busy this week. Firstly, they were making chocolate Christmas logs with Ms Kellegher and Ms McHugh. Lovely chocolatey treats! Well done all.
On Wednesday our ASD Class went on their annual Christmas shopping trip to Longford. They took in a visit to St Mel's Cathedral and to the pet shop with Ms Murphy and Ms McHugh. The boys had a lovely day out.
