Leitrim back in action as Green & Gold Mens & Ladies teams start 2024 campaigns next weekend

Leitrim's inter-county football teams return to action this weekend with Andy Moran's Mens team facing Galway in the FBD Insurance Connacht League while Jonny Garrity's Ladies side open their Lidl LGFA Division 4 campaign away to Kilkenny.

An experimental and young Leitrim hurling side opened their 2024 season on January 2, with a heavy 4-27 to 1-14 loss to a New York team who went on to win the Connacht Hurling League and now the football teams start official action this Friday when the Men's footballers travel to the University of Galway Connacht GAA Air Dome this Friday, January 12.

Andy Moran's side will take on provincial champions Galway in the semi-final in the all ticket game with the winners facing Roscommon or London  after the Exiles famously beat Mayo for the first time ever last Saturday.
