€304,186 for Leitrim projects under Clár funding

Local Fine Gael TD Frank Feighan has this morning (Friday 12th) welcomed the allocation of €304,186 in Clár funding for 8 projects in Co Leitrim.

Projects funded under the scheme include, walks, playgrounds, gardens, car park improvements and school safety measures.

“This is another significant by government in conjunction with local communities, development companies and the local authority.

“Many small rural communities have applied for small and medium projects with some innovative proposals, and I am delighted that this funding follows previous generous allocations for Co Leitrim” stated Dep. Feighan.

Among the successful projects are:

  • Leckaun NS - Outdoor Organic Garden €43,448
  • Dromahair Arts and Recreation Centre - Upgrade Community Car Park & access improvements €50,000
  • Kinlough Community Development - Upgrading and repairs to the tennis court €45,519
  • Tullaghan Development Assoc. - New Playground €50,000
  • Aughawillan Parish Council - Repair roof and internal works €32,355
  • Mohill Community College - Polytunnel, outdoor seating and stimuli €13,950
  • Glenade Resource Centre - New heating system €18,914
  • Glenfarne Community Dev. CLG - Upgrade Works to Glenfarne community graveyard €50,000

“In conclusion, I wish to congratulate the community groups for their excellent applications and indeed to Minister Heather Humphreys for her and her department’s continued generosity to Co Leitrim in terms of funding allocation”, concluded Deputy Feighan.
