Leitrim area deaths – Saturday, January 20

Eileen Grannell (née McGoldrick), Forosa, Gortletteragh, Leitrim

The death has occurred of Eileen Grannell (nee McGoldrick) Forosa, Gortletteragh, Leitrim. Eileen died peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family. Beloved wife of the late Danny and much loved mother of Barry, Patrick and Cormac.Sadly missed by her sister Mary, daughters-in-law Sharon, Mary and Breda and grandchildren Sian, Anthony, Daniel, Emily, James, Liam, Matthew,Thomas, Annie and Jon Jo. Predeceased by her siblings Tom and Lily.

Thomas Donohoe, Ballsbridge, Dublin / Ballinamore, Leitrim

Passed away peacefully at the Marlay Nursing Home, Rathfarnham, Dublin. Tom had received the most excellent care from the dedicated staff who supported him during his journey with Alzheimer's. He was a Cavan man (Killygarry), spending his younger adult life in Basingstoke, Hampshire, U.K. Latterly, he returned to Ireland and for many years resided in Ballsbridge, Dublin. He was predeceased firstly by his young wife Anne Stack of Tarbert, Co Kerry and latterly, in his maturing years, by Margaret Gallogly of Ballinamore, Co. Leitrim. Tom leaves behind his daughters Helen and Christine, grandchildren Catherine, Adam, Laura, Bethany and James, his brother James and other extended family.

May their gentle souls Rest in Peace.
