Met Éireann is predicting a dry weekend with sunny spells and heavy rain falls 

SATURDAY: Any frost and icy patches will clear - it will be a largely dry day with sunny spells. Cloud will increase in the west towards evening. Highest temperatures of 8 to 10 degrees with light to moderate northwest breezes. 

SATURDAY NIGHT: Dry weather with rain will develop in the southwest and will spread northwards overnight. Lowest temperatures of 0 to 5 degrees with light to moderate east to southeast winds. 

SUNDAY: Rain with heavy falls but will gradually clear from late in the afternoon. Drier, brighter weather with highs of 6 to 9 degrees in light to moderate north to northeast winds. 

SUNDAY NIGHT: Cold and mainly dry with clear spells. Frost and some icy patches are possible. Lowest temperatures of -1 to +3 degrees with light to moderate northerly breezes.
