The Leitrim Design House is proud to showcase Heike Heim's vibrant new landscape paintings on ARTWALL from Saturday, March 16.
Heike is a member of the Greenway Artists Initiative and is currently based in Sligo, having lived in numerous counties in the Wild Atlantic Way.
Immersion in the western landscapes of Ireland has moulded her perceptions and inevitably found their way into her work, he states, “My Paintings are reflections of an outer and inner Landscapes. Impressions gathered on walks and places I have lived in along Ireland's West coast, linking moods of landscape to moods within us.”
"I let my memory guide me intuitively through a painting. Paint applied with the use of a palette knife gives my paintings a spontaneous energy. Interpreting and abstracting the landscape, expressing atmosphere through colour and applying texture to create depth and movement," he added.
'Meanderings' continues on ARTWALL until May 1st and is well worth a visit.
