Four Masters NS, Kinlough.
Sligo Leitrim TD Frank Feighan has warmly welcomed funding announced by the Minister for Education, Norma Foley TD to facilitate the addition of new classrooms for the Four Masters Primary School, Kinlough, Co Leitrim.
The successful application will provide for 3 Special Education Tuition rooms and 2 Special Education Classrooms which are funded under the ‘additional school accommodation programme’.
The exact amount of the grant is not released due to procurement rules.
“This is good news for the community, hopefully work on procurement can be advanced as soon as possible and that there won’t be any major disruption to pupils in the classrooms and work can get started before the end of 2024.
“Kinlough is a town that has seen a large increase in population especially over the last 10 years and this announcement will be of great benefit to children who require additional ‘one to one’ tuition”.
“In conclusion I wish to congratulate the school principal and the board of management on their successful application”, concluded Deputy Feighan.
