Adam Ó Ceallaigh has announced a significant pledge to serve as a full-time councillor if elected. This commitment underscores his dedication to the 11,000 residents of the area, ensuring that their needs and concerns receive undivided attention and support.
Ó Ceallaigh emphasised that, should he be elected, he will not undertake any other work that could detract from his responsibilities as a public representative.
“With the public paying the salary of the local councillor, you would want the public representative to be fully committed to supporting the needs of the people and our community,” Ó Ceallaigh stated.
To ensure continuous engagement and communication, Ó Ceallaigh has laid out a plan that includes hosting monthly constituency clinics and providing a quarterly bulletin to people in the constituency.
This proactive approach aims to foster a more involved and informed electorate, bridging the gap between the council and the community it serves.
By dedicating himself full-time to his role, Adam Ó Ceallaigh promises to be a more effective and responsive councillor, enhancing the quality of representation for the people of Ballinamore LEA.
