Cllr Padraig Fallon, Sinn Féin, Manorhamilton LEA
Padraig Fallon (SF) has been re-elected to Leitrim County Council, securing 780 first preference votes in this years local elections.
Fallon, who ran in the Manorhamilton LEA has expressed his gratitude following re-election: "I'm delighted to be returning to Leitrim County Council, I want to continue to work for the people in North Leitrim and I'm very fortunate to do that.
"I'd like to thank first of all the voters of North Leitrim and everyone who voted for me, and also those who voted for my fellow party candidates; Michelle Brennan-Shyabo in North Leitrim.
"I'd like to thank the Sinn Féin team, all of my family and everyone who supported me."
Fallon says he will continue to work hard on bettering Leitrim, and tackling the issues raised with him. "Where the local authority can do something most definitely is housing. Accommodation is a huge challenge in Leitrim and that must be priority."
Other issues Fallon would like to progress on include infrastructure, reopening of a local improvement scheme, protection of family farming, and public lighting.
