Carrigallen author and poet Kevin Patrick presents, ‘EMMA IN Rhythm & Rhyme,’ an adaptation of Jane Austen’s classic novel 'Emma.'

This is the third Austen novel to receive the full Rhythm & Rhyme treatment following Pride & Prejudice in 2021 and Sense & Sensibility in 2022, in which Kevin distilled each prose novel into flowing poetic rhyming verse.

This new book is beautifully illustrated by Moyne based artist Barbara Sliwinska along with a full watercolour gracing the elegant cover.

Speaking to Charlie McGettigan recently on Shannonside Radio, Kevin said: "I wrote this during the last lockdown and it was a labour of love, with a colourful cast of characters along with a pleasing ‘friends to lovers’ storyline that continues to influence culture today."

The book is priced at €20 is available locally at The Reading Room Bookshop in Carrick-on-Shannon, direct from the author on his Facebook Page or from lulu.comthe world's largest independent online bookstore.
