A new planning application, reference number 2460193, has been submitted to Leitrim County Council by Karol Mcloughlin. The application proposes the development of a glamping site in Drumsna, County Leitrim.

The project involves the construction of six glamping pods, a service block, and a car parking area. These glamping pods are designed to offer modern comforts while allowing visitors to enjoy the outdoor environment. The development will be connected to the existing sewer and water supply, with all necessary site works included in the plan.

The application was received and validated by the council on September 27, 2024, and is currently under review. A decision is expected by November 21, 2024, with the review process marked at 9% complete. Interested parties have until October 31, 2024, to submit any comments or objections.

This proposal could boost local tourism by providing alternative accommodation options in the area. The final decision will depend on the council's review of the application and any public feedback received by the deadline.
