Reservoir Interruption to Cause Water Supply Disruptions Across South Leitrim

Uisce Éireann is advising residents in South Leitrim of potential water supply disruptions due to scheduled reservoir works today.

 The affected areas include Ballinamore, Aughawillan, Corraleehan, Corrawallen, Killyvehy, Ballinaboy, Dromod, Oghill, Newtowngore, Carrigallen, Hartley, Attirory, Leitrim Village, Drumcong, Drumshanbo, Cornageeha, Gortletteragh, and surrounding areas.

The maintenance works that began yesterday will continue until 1 p.m. today. Customers are advised to allow three to four hours after works end for the supply to return fully.

In the meantime, alternative water supplies will be provided at several locations until midday today. These locations include The Food Hub, Drumshanbo; Drumlea National School; Aughawillan National School; Drumcong; The Square, Ballinamore; McNamee’s Garage, Killyvehy.

Uisce Éireann has also reminded residents to bring their own containers and as a precautionary measure, to boil the water before consumption.
