Carrick-on-Shannon gymnastics club is still gong strong after 30 years.
Leo Mulvey was one of the founding committee members of the club back in November 1986.
What he helped to start has grown and grown, to a club with 130 gymnasts and 11 coaches. It was very fitting that two of Leo’s grandchildren were part of the group of gymnasts that qualified for the Community Games gymnastics finals in August this year.
The club are planning to celebrate this milestone, gathering gymnasts, coaches, committee members who have been involved over 3 decades. The party, to be held in the Bush Hotel on November 12th, will be a trip down memory lane with old photos, videos and memorabilia.
The organiser would be delighted if past gymnasts, coaches and committee get in touch through CarrickGymnastics on Facebook or e mail us on carrickgymnastics@gmail.com.
